Honestly, a bit disappointing. You need your animation to be much smoother (what is your FPS? lower than 10??). And your camera is too shaky, try to fix it using rubber bands or tape!  mini/smile

Hmm... I think this is one of your best works. Everything else was alright, but it's very choppy and pretty poor props. Actually, I like it. You can make very good stories by the way.

I did have some issues with my camera but did not realize it until after. Will not make that mistake again.
And I agree LaJaka it is one of my best ones so far and I plan to get even better.

I am very happy with the results. I've also followed this guy in his journey and he is getting alot better as am I.
Alot of you guys pump out stuff that is above awesome. Sometimes it's good to step back and remember that you were also once just a learner. As I look at yours and hope to get there.
Yes some of it is a bit choppy with the camera movement but it works.
Some of the sets are simplistic but that's the point.
I know I'm gettin really quite anal with my sets as well and it's just a natural progression right?

Please don't post such degrading comments. Why would you want to talk to someone like that? Just because it's over the internet doesn't make it any better. If anything, you should be giving constructive criticism. This is not constructive whatsoever, it is destructive. To Antonio: Keep Brickfilming as long as you enjoy it! I do not understand what the problem is. I have read comments on here just as harsh if not harsher as what I posted. And it is always the more seasoned film guys who do it against guys like this.But when they do it it is okay?
There is a thing called freedom of speech and if everyone else can weigh in on how they feel about certain films in there own way then so should I. If said film guy cannot take any feedback then he should man up instead of going and crying to you. This is like an old boys club that go's on in here where the good animators only compliment other good animators is quite sad. Tell them to stop only commenting on there buddies stuff and look at muck like this so they can set bad movies like this straight. I have been following BIM for a long while before I joined and it is sad if you are going to ban me for having an opinion.
Do what you like but I still hated this film and I know many others did too. I am just the only person who had the stones to say so.

And lets hope this is the last we ever see of Lame Connors.

You won't be banned if you started to treat people with some common sense respect. And may I ask, if you know enough to harshly criticize someone elses hard work, where are your films?

I'm not the moderator who edited the post, but I agreed with the decision. I think constructive criticism is great, and one of the central purposes of the site, but some sensitivity is a good thing when critiquing others' work.

Nobody came "crying to us," including the filmmaker, we just saw the post and felt it was some of the worst of needlessly harsh criticism we'd seen in a while. There have probably been a few others that are similarly bad, and we usually try to deal with those in some manner when we see them.

A lot of the people sharing their films on this site are children, not professionals. We don't want a reputation for insultingly harsh feedback, it drives new people away.

There is no "freedom of speech" on a privately owned Internet website.

animation was a bit choppy, but i barely noticed much shakiness, i'm new to brickfilming to so i know how hard it is to start out, just keep on brickfilming!

I never saw what the original comment was but I can only guess it was something bad.
Everyone is entitled to there own opinion but I agree there are more polite ways of saying them.
You won't be the first person or the last one who will not like my work or me that matter.
But I thrive on peoples comments and know that is the only way to get bettor.
But I am not going to stop brick filming and you can bet your last dollar this is not the last we will see of Tripp Connors.

When something is that badly done there is no real way to be nice about it. I say what others won't.
Thanks for the warning about another Lame Connors. Maybe you can call it Lame Connors 2 the lameness continues?

i do not wanna start a whole thing dude, but we get it, you don't like it, don't need to constantly RANT ABOUT IT
if you really did brickfilm, you'd know how hard it is to do it. I do not see any films you have made, so i can't comment on your skill

please reframe from spamming this thread just because you do not like the video. I kinda liked it, even though it has flaws

Glad to hear! I'm sure you'll continue to get better as I have and still am. Keep going when it might be hard. I've had to learn that lately with something I'm animating. mini/smile

T'was not too bad, but you need to improve in many areas. The animation was pretty choppy and looked like it was shot at an incredibly low frame rate (What were you shooting at specifically?). You might want to try easing in and out for your movements. Next, the camera movement was detracting quite a lot from the film; make sure you aren't touching the camera when filming, and if you are, make sure you're using the self-timer function on the camera (If it has one). There was also some minor light flicker, so make sure that your exposure and white balance settings are set to manual. Another thing that kind of bothered me was the voice acting; Connor's employee sound pretty good, but the rest of the voice acting was a bit stuffy and quiet, and I couldn't understand most of it. Other than that, the idea/story was pretty good, and I know that you put a lot of effort into making this film, and for that, I'm glad you were able to release it and follow through!

Not bad. Your absolute biggest problem is that your fps seems quite low. Try to raise it to at least 15 fps. You might also want to try and stick down sets and props that do not attach to LEGO sets (For example, the tree at 1:27) If you have a prop like that, I would suggests putting some sticky tak on the bottom of the prop to help secure it.
