Topic: Doppler Effect

For some future films, I've been wanting to implement a Doppler effect to sounds I've made.  Does anyone know how to add one in post?
I have Audacity, but I haven't found a way to make one.

(For those who don't know, a Doppler effect is the effect created when a moving object making a sound moves to or from the listener and the pitch is changed due to the sound waves being more or less compressed.  Like when you're next to the road and a car passes)

Yeah.  Pitch Shift.  I used it a week ago for a passing by car in Holding Our Own episode 2.  Works beautifully.

But How do I get the pitch to gradually change?  All I know how to do is make the entire thing higher or lower, which isn't what I want.

Which Audacity do you have? It's on "1.3 Beta", but I don't know if it's on any others.
The tool shifts the pitch throughout the sound, all you do is set where it begins, and where it ends.
This is what you want, trust me. mini/wink

Actually 2.0.3 is the newest version, and you can get it here: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

One tip though, be sure to first do the audio, so you can sync the effect (it look weird if it were timed wrong). Good luck doing it!
