This featured brickfilmer post is part of a series of articles highlighting animators who supported the Bricks in Motion Documentary project on Kickstarter.

Avery Drake has been making animations since 2009. He has had a lifelong interest in animation and in filmmaking, and is currently pursuing it at West Liberty University, studying Digital Media Design.

In 2013, his film "Superman" won first place in the West Liberty University 2013 Media, Arts and Design Festival. One of his most recent projects is the short film "Computer Virus."

"When I make a brickfilm, I always try to come up with a good idea. The story process is usually the longest, because it is the important part of anything film. Then I get to the fun aspects which are animating and editing. Making brickfilms can be a lot of hard work, but it is very fun and rewarding when the work is done. I hope to continue making brickfilms, because I love making them."
