Topic: The LEGO stock footage libary

So,
lets build a stock footage library of LEGO effects, explosions and so forth, and we can include other elements, basically, lets share what we put in our films....

we shall compile a list of all the files and that

Re: The LEGO stock footage libary

Great stuff! Might I suggest that when someone comments with a piece of stock footage, the link be put in the thread post itself? In a list?

Re: The LEGO stock footage libary

ok, yeah
im thinking of CGI stock stuff, so, with stuff like: the helicopter found in here and (much more basic) the "wall" here (I wouldnt, as I know its of no interest to anyone.) but, also, I should put the Escape pod here in it
what I really want to do though, is make some explosions......

Re: The LEGO stock footage libary

Those things look more specialized, I mean, sure it looks great in your film, but for a stock library, it's not generic enough. If I can dig up my old LEGO effects (I forgot where I rendered them to. D:), then I'll post them here. mini/smile

EDIT: To add to what Jampot said, I think you should also update the first post of this topic to not only include the list, but so simply explain what this topic is about, instead of just "read the title". Most people who come to this topic from now on will not see the previous topic were were discussing this on, and thus may need a better explanation.

Re: The LEGO stock footage libary

ok, yeah, but, like most people could have a use for a helicopter(prob better seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwZQ6AtjezY

but I think we could get quite a nice library happening.

Re: The LEGO stock footage libary

I have a question before I upload anything:

Should we make them YouTube videos for people to download, or provide them with links to the raw .mp4 (or .avi or .mov) files?

Re: The LEGO stock footage libary

um, if they are just footage, a link to the MP4 might be better, as it isnt condensed by yt then.

Re: The LEGO stock footage libary

they look really good. also, if they are CGI, you could supply the 3ds. file....

I'm glad you like them. They were made earlier this year, so they aren't my best work, but they will do I suppose.

Well, seeing as it's stock footage library, I don't think that's absolutely necessary. Also, the materials sadly will not transfer. Also, the file would be rather large due to the insane number of clouds I have in the scene. mini/wink

But, if you were going to share 3D models, I would recommend .obj files, because they don't triangulate them meshes like .3ds files do, and are slightly more universal than .3ds.

Re: The LEGO stock footage libary

ok, yeah, well, i was gonna add some .obj's too, not the whole scene, just the generic part of the scene....

Re: The LEGO stock footage libary

I hope this is the right place for this. I built some brick build clouds and took pictures of them on a blue screen so I thought I'd share them with everyone here. mini/smile

Please let me know if there are any problems getting to the files so I can try to fix it.
