Topic: Greenscreen Reflecion

Hi everybody.
I'm having a lot of trouble with my greenscreen. The greenscreen itself works really great, but the green is reflecting on to my characters and/or set, and we all know that's not good. So whenever I apply the chroma key, parts of my characters and/or set are being erased!

Re: Greenscreen Reflecion

Could you possibly provide an example picture of what it's doing? A picture of your setup might also help. Also, what program are you using?

Re: Greenscreen Reflecion

I'm using EOS utility for my DSLR. (I'm purchasing proper stopmotion software soon). I know this might sound like a noob question but, how do I even upload a picture? When I click the "Img" icon, it just shows some text in parentheses.

Re: Greenscreen Reflecion

Also, I don't don't know if this will help, but I'm using a Canon EOS Rebel XS DSLR with a Nikon 35-80mm lens via an adapter. My program for the chroma key is Paint.NET. Here's a link to that: http://www.getpaint.net/index.html

Re: Greenscreen Reflecion

From the info provided, I don't think it's going to be a camera issue or software issue, unless it's Paint.NET's chroma keying features. Sounds more like lighting. Can't be sure without a pic though.

You can upload a picture to a website like Imgur (or any other image hosting website) then put the URL to the image between  tags. mini/smile

Re: Greenscreen Reflecion

Try moving the greenscreen further away from the set. The more you move it away, the less green light should be bouncing onto it.

Alternatively, buy some anti-reflective spray and coat your figures with it.

Re: Greenscreen Reflecion

Thanks Littlebrick. I'll try that this evening and report back how it works.

Moving the greenscreen worked great! Thanks Littlebrick.
