Topic: Walk in progress

I'd meant to post this sooner, but didn't have a chance until now. I actually can't find all the different walk cycles, I'm sure they're in my computer or on a USB in my dirty jeans or something. This was the project still loaded in Linux Stopmotion, so I just exported it as is. This is version 6a, I think there are one or two versions after this, but before the final product. Anyway, it's more about the process than the results. Hopefully someone finds it interesting or helpful.

This is taken from a series of studies I did for a walk cycle needed for my entries in the Lego Rebrick Ninjago Movie contest. I worked it out over the course of eight or nine passes, each time tweaking things a bit. I built it with this Portal 2 Chell character since I have a whole bunch of them and could therefore do replacement animation, which allowed me to keep all the poses from the previous pass and make adjustments as needed. Then I could use this footage as reference for animating the single figure (not replacement animation) who appears in the final movies. See the results here:
