Topic: Composer needed for film theme song

Hello, I am in need of a composer to create a theme song for a James Bond inspired, spy/thriller/ comedy film.
I plan to animate the intro to the music similar to the James Bond openings style, with the fancy lights and colours and sequences.

I'm looking for a theme that would have a bit of a mix between
Diamonds are Forever https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFSAWiTJsjc and
For Your Eyes Only  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fN1WBgS9u_E

I don't need lyrics but if you want to write some go ahead. The creative process is up to you, ultimately.

Thank you and have a nice day! mini/smile

Re: Composer needed for film theme song

I am very interested. I've long been a fan of bond songs, and I've analyzed them a bit, found what I consider to be important compositional aspects of the better Bond songs, and even some of the less remembered songs are very well composed. And there are a few not so much of course. I'd like to take a crack at this.

Do you have a title for your film?

I haven't thought of a title-yet-(usually that's my last step, whatever comes up while filming).
Your research and deep interest would make for some interesting ideas, you should give it shot!

I tried doing a James Bond inspired brickfilm myself a few years back, and intended to do an original opening song.

I'll try and dust off the files and take a look this evening, maybe I've got something left over you could use, who knows!?

Re: Composer needed for film theme song

I've been playing around with some musical ideas as well as possible lyric themes.

What are the themes that the film will revolve around? I don't need to know the plot details (better if I don't I think, we don't want a song like The Man With The Golden Gun that spells out the plot) but just the overall themes, such as loss, revenge, finding one's place, etc.

Also, what happens in the pre-title sequence leading into the song? For example, in Skyfall, Bond falls from the bridge into the water which leads into the song. You Only Live Twice leads from Bond's death into the song. Die Another Day (while the song is pretty awful) interestingly integrates the montage of Bond's torture in a POW camp into the graphics. And so on.

This is key in leading us into the tone of the song sequence, and on my part, decisions on whether the song is in major or minor, tempo, instrumentation, and the point of view of the singer (male or female, voiced by a character or third person omnicient, etc.)
