Topic: BiM 2018: Movie Magic - Production Thread

Believe it or not, we are now over a month into our summer contest Movie Magic! If you haven't started yet, don't panic- there's still plenty of time to jump on the animation train. However, for those of you who have already begun work on your films, consider this thread a central place to post information, behind the scenes, or even frames from your film as you work on it.

Participation is completely optional, but it's usually fun to share in the creative process and get a little bit of feedback from your fellow site members so I hope all of you will consider participating. As always, remember to be respectful and constructive when posting about someone else's work.

Happy filming!

Great idea!
I will start filming next week, I hope I'll find the time discussing about mine and other Brickfilmers films mini/smile

Re: BiM 2018: Movie Magic - Production Thread

I hope everyone's films are going great! I can't wait to see what other's are creating. Anyway, I'm almost half way through production. I hope I can finish filming after Brawl, and then go on to editing. I'm hoping to post a behind the scenes video about my project to my YouTube Channel when the contest ends.  mini/bigsmile

I am done animating and now I'm on to postproduction. Can't wait to see the other films! (I just hope they are not THAT good).

Does anyone have some tips for inspiration on the topic(without completely copying an illusion from a movie, of course)?

I have a poster for my movie. mini/bigsmile

I recommend BrickSafe for uploading LEGO related photos.

I can't get it to post an image on a comment. mini/sad
Is that what it is supposed to do?

Re: BiM 2018: Movie Magic - Production Thread

Just started animation on the 19th. We now have complete opening and end credits, a complete script, and 2:40 of film to work with. It's our first contest, so we're really trying.
