Gunship Down

Youtube

The lone survivor of a mysterious crash finds that he is not so alone...

UPDATE: I added a vimeo link which seems to be free of those annoying purple lines so I would recommend this one: Vimeo

Re: Gunship Down

Wow, that was great! Quite clear, animation top notch.

(is it just me, or was there a purple line across the screen?)

Re: Gunship Down

That was very good! The animation was superb along with the story.
I liked the humor at the start with the headless stormtrooper "Johnny". mini/lol

Ya sorry about that, I'm not sure how that happened...  Thanks for the feedback!  mini/smile

Re: Gunship Down

I really liked that.  The one gripe I have is when there's the cut to Johnny, the thing Moo-C-J noted, I wasn't sure if it was a joke or not.  It seemed funny to me, but it was hard to tell.

Nice, that is one of the better brickfilms I've seen in a while.

The stall at the end with the echoey scream was sweet. mini/yes

Re: Gunship Down

That was spectacular. The animation, the cinematography, the sound design, the timing...all near-perfectly executed. Well done.

Re: Gunship Down

I liked it, thought the mood you created was highly effective, all the fine technical work contributed to this.  However, the flickering lines are a very distracting, significant flaw IMO, it'd be great if you could get that fixed.

As for the lines, I'm also quite annoyed by them, but I'd rather not repost it on youtube.  Is it possible to add an extra link to the film page after the fact?

Thanks again everyone for the great feedback!

Re: Gunship Down

Not at the moment, I think Sloth might be able to manually change it if you had the new URL ready though.  I know what you mean about not wanting to repost the video, though I'd also point out it's better to do it now while the video has 950 views than wait until it's got a lot more.

Or you could upload a fixed version to Vimeo instead, the directory gives preferential treatment to the Vimeo link.  (making it the one that plays when somebody clicks the thumbnail if both Vimeo and YouTube are present.)

Re: Gunship Down

And I thought I broke my iTouch with that purple line.

Very well animated, great cinematography.

Re: Gunship Down

I usually don't care for Star Wars films, but this was... wow! Love the lighting and top-notch animation.

I never plan on buying anything when I go to the Lego Store.
Strangely enough, I always wind up finding something that makes me ditch those plans.

Re: Gunship Down

just... fabulous.
