Re: AniExer-size Animation Contest [CLOSED]

can't belevie forest is a judge
i am writing a scene script right now but i won't be able to animate till the 8th:(:(

Re: AniExer-size Animation Contest [CLOSED]

I'm already working on set, but I think the theme was a bit unoriginal. I think everyone is just going to do an action film about two bad guys chasing each other.

Great contest though, I can't wait to get started. Thanks for making this mini/wink

That's probably true, but the theme is very open and has great opportunities for creative approaches. EDIT: ^ Exactly.

Re: AniExer-size Animation Contest [CLOSED]

I think this is an awesome idea, gives a lot of motivation to make films, and the prizes are a very nice bonus mini/smile

Re: AniExer-size Animation Contest [CLOSED]

Right, if you think everybody else is going to do the same thing, just assume you can't do the same as them and go in a completely different direction with it!  "Chase Scene" is very broad and is open to interpretation.

Re: AniExer-size Animation Contest [CLOSED]

That's very true! My contest entry is really going to be the farthest thing from "harcore action" mini/lol

Re: AniExer-size Animation Contest [CLOSED]

Are there any copyright restrictions for eligible entries?

No.  But originality is encouraged, so you may not want to base an entry on a preexisting movie / setting.

(to clarify, VN is running this contest but I will be assisting and available to answer questions.)

Re: AniExer-size Animation Contest [CLOSED]

Yes, Batman can be used, there really aren't restrictions on copyright.  But we encourage original concepts.

On a side note, remember that the goal isn't to make a film with a chase scene in it, but rather a chase scene, possibly with a story built around it.  The chase is the focal point.

I can because he is.

I'm gonna get set building this afternoon as the longer I leave it, the less likely I am to finish it.
