Re: AniExer-size Animation Contest II: RESULTS!

Like others before me said, congrats guys!  These ones were definitely winning material (no offense intended to the other contestants, tho).  Can't wait till the next AniExer-size event.

Congratulations Hazzat, Bodville and especially Filmyguy. Your films rocked.

Re: AniExer-size Animation Contest II: RESULTS!

Congratulations to the winners, the winning entries were all well made.  As I've said before I really feel like nobody rose to the challenge of this contest to try to make something scary except The Monkey's Paw by Olsonstudios, we got comedies instead, so that's a disappointment to me, but they were nice videos.

Oh that makes me sad. I really enjoyed "The Monkey's Paw".
This is exciting though, I've never won LEGO before. Thanks, guys!

Re: AniExer-size Animation Contest II: RESULTS!

"The Monkey's Paw" placed 4th overall, it was considered in judging.

well you know it's kind of hard to enter a scary film if there can't be any violence.

Re: AniExer-size Animation Contest II: RESULTS!

congrats to all, I enjoyed all these films.:)
I skipped both of these contests, for sure im entering the next

Re: AniExer-size Animation Contest II: RESULTS!

Wow I seriously did not expect to place. Thanks BIM, free Lego bricks rule.
Congrats to the other winners they were great entries. Zombie pigs are classic.
There was some great animation in filmyguy's entry. Some of the lighting wasn't the best (the same could be said about Ghost Train).
Overall it was very well done. I'm really going to have to lift my game. The lights I use are terrible.

The next AniExer should be love, it's all we need.

Tell that to Alfred Hitchcock. And then tell me how you talk to dead people.

Re: AniExer-size Animation Contest II: RESULTS!

Right, and the rule was only against gore or really graphic violence.  The majority of the most frightening stuff I've seen in films doesn't rely on gore or even violence to be effective.  (To go back to the Hitchcock example, the murder scene in Psycho never shows Crane getting stabbed)

I don't mean to totally slam the winners or anything, just saying that I wish we'd gotten some more attempts at making something unsettling or frightening.

The Bubble would easily win that.

Re: AniExer-size Animation Contest II: RESULTS!

lol...anyway, congrats to the winner, filmyguy, your entry totally deserved to be on the top 3...Hazzat, I loved the pig's invasion, and bodville, ghost train was really entertaining...I thought the monkey's paw would be at least 3rd, but, well, congrats olsonstudios for the 4th place....
