Re: ToY: Philadelphia

I thought that was pretty good. I couldn't really understand what was happening through the video, I had to read the description.
It was confusing, and a tad slow paced at times, but I really liked the narration at the start and end.
3/5 - the first TOY entry I've seen, and you did pretty good.

Re: ToY: Philadelphia

What the hell was that?  If it was a preview clip then it would make sense but this was disappointing and confusing.  Had it been edited in the style of Blair Witch or Cloverfield, the rushed pace and sudden scene changes would make sense.  It was hard to follow what was going on with all the abrupt scene changes.  It was like asking an ADHD person's description of a movie.  It seems like there are scenes missing.

Voice acting ranged from amateur to decent.  Was this the actor's fault or a lack of direction from the the director, I don't know.

The Philadelphia Experiment is certainly a tale worth telling.  Pity it didn't go so well here.

Re: ToY: Philadelphia

Having seen the actually Hollywood cinimatic "The Philadelphia Experiment", I was excited for seeing what you could pull off. But I was a little disapointing, considering the pacing and some of the voicing (as mentioned above). The editing could have been much better.

On the plus side, you animation skills have improved some, but there were still times it was to slow (try easing in and out a little more). I was a little surprised by some of the animation.

Keep practicing, your getting there, but you didn't quite make it this time.

Re: ToY: Philadelphia

Thanks for the positive and the not so positive feedback, it all helps me improve.
But you also might have noticed that this actually made March-April-May where I think I've improved since then.
About the voice actors, I was lucky enough to have DarthVincentPrice voice act, who is great as Dr .Jacob Smith (if you noticed who he was mini/wink ) but due to not finding a voice actor for Jonathan Cresswell, and my voice a bit high pitched for him, my dad voice acted and, yeah. But yes, I already know I haven't won anything, with all these other great films.

Thanks Again,

Re: ToY: Philadelphia

I, also, found this a bit dissapointing. Though many things were done well, there were also many things that weren't done so well. The animation was inconsistant, the voice acting was also inconsistant (You do know that language isn't allowed, right?), the camera bumped several times and the same music played throught the entire film. I don't think it was a horror to watch, but I do think that you can improve on the things I mentioned above. I commend you for taking on the ambition for such a story, though.

Re: ToY: Philadelphia

What happened? In a room, out of a room, I kill you now!, where am I?, et me out, then he's out, fire... all too fast paced and too confusing, maybe a script is needed to be followed a little more....
Also, what up with the strange belching sound then scene, then belch sound? mini/confused

This is depressing...

If you don't have something different to say other than what has already been posted ( like it's crap) then please don't post.

Re: ToY: Philadelphia

'What was that?' was also my reaction after the film. I won't repeat what everyone else has said, but the story was indeed told way too fast. I saw a US marine, some other marines and some fight scenes. To be honest I don't think that  after a 2nd or a 3rd view the film will become clear. When making a film, write a screenplay and let it people read it.

There's not much else I can say about the rest, the voice acting wasn't terrible but it wasn't good either. The cinematography was very basic and the animation choppy.

The beginning of the film was intriguing enough for me, that got me interested. Too bad it only went downhill from there.
