I didn't know Festival of Souls was a yearly thing. I was going to ask how people might like a Halloween contest (tick tock)and stumbled upon these ideas. I certainly don't want to overstep my boundaries.

That said: I'd love a scary themed contest with a no humor twist. I would love to host/help out with this contest if possible. I've got some good ideas and the more time animators have-the better. Doug James and I hosted the Horror Contest back on brickfilms in 2002. We had a few different awards such as the Pee in your Pants Award-awarded to scariest movie. Looking back at the fifteen entries we received, it was a split of humor and straight horror. There were a lot of quality/ highly-polished entries and that's what I'm looking for with contest material.

Not really planning on an official contest in September this year.  If somebody wants to run a similar contest, I'd personally suggest October instead given Halloween contests generally go over well; Septemberfest didn't get as much response as we were kinda hoping for.

Although I didn't enter the last Septemberfest, I'd love to see this return.  I think Onion would be a great host and I hope the staff considers it.

Just my opinion, I wouldn't really give up Halloween this year - I think that a Halloween contest every year should be like a tradition on this site! I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to have both contests running this beginning of school. And honestly, Onion fits perfectly for this contest!
