Obviously I can't really comment on the story But based on what I can comment on, I found it rather enjoyable. The animation was marvelous, which is always a plus. A few of the jokes, which I understand you putting in, kinda made it less enjoyable for me, however. The pot being thrown at the soldier, for example, was a little out of place. Also the boom box part, at least for me, did more harm than good. The narrating was serious, and overall the film took itself seriously, which I enjoyed; I would suggest maybe having a woman running after a guard, instead of throwing a pot at him, and the man being nervous and saying "Uhhh that's a girl!" instead of the boom box. These are, however, just personal suggestions, and I'm sure that for a younger audience this was very well-received. One last problem I have is the mother's red hair; maybe it's just me, but it kinda bugged me, to be honest. It's an even pickier problem than the others tho, so I'd pay no attention to it
Overall I'd give it a 3.5/5, because I'd rather see a more comedic feel overall or a more serious feel overall, as opposed to the serious narration and slight comedic parts. I'll round it up on BiM, however, because the animation was very good and my problems are very nit-picky.
