Re: GlueFace for Mouthanimations

Hi martinprice2004
thanks a lot for your suggestions and ideas!
it helps a lot to see/hear what users think and wish to have included in further versions.
the vertical movement-trackball is a good idea, but mostley the figs a filmed on the horizontal shot when they talking. Anyway, there should be an option for it.
Actually GlueFace is still using the Preston Blair phoneme standard set.

best wishes,
mario

Re: GlueFace for Mouthanimations

I have to try this.

You can do anything, just have fun while doing it.

Re: GlueFace for Mouthanimations

Um, when I download it onto my windows vista, it's in Java format, so I can't open it or use it. Any solutions, like ways to change it into something that my computer can read, or any other solution than having to use Javascript?

Re: GlueFace for Mouthanimations

Yes:
http://bricktrick.de/index-e-glueface-1.php
Means you have to install Java

Re: GlueFace for Mouthanimations

What does Java do? Is there anything it does, like make you unable to open other formats of stuff?

Re: GlueFace for Mouthanimations

No. Its not makes that you cant open other formats/stuff.
Java makes that you can run/open programs written in Java.
Java is mostly used on Linux/Unix-Sytems.
Java is able to run on several plattforms like MAC, PC, Linux/Unix

Re: GlueFace for Mouthanimations

Okay, I'll try it out and see if it works when I get around to it.

Re: GlueFace for Mouthanimations

Does the minifigs face have to be scratched off? If so I already animated a scene with a normal face in it. Can I get that face on GlueFace?

Re: GlueFace for Mouthanimations

You can, but the orig. Mouth will be visible too.
So better you rotoskope the mouth in post-pro.

The best way to work with mouth-animation ist to delete/scratched-off the mouth before you animate.

Re: GlueFace for Mouthanimations

I personally don't think that's a good idea, mario72. What if you don't have enough of said head? Just flip it around and use the blank side of the head, I say; don't erase your LEGO!
