YouTube High Quality

A shot-for-shot remake of a memorable scene from "Batman: The Dark Knight".
For those, who don't remember the scene: the original.

I made this to try out and improve in several sections, as for example: animation, lighting, and - mouth animation.

Re: The Dark Knight Montage Clip

That was pretty sweet. I thought that the use of GlueFace was good, but there could have been more movement. The lighting was very good too. I'd rate the film 8.756/10!

Re: The Dark Knight Montage Clip

That was very nice. The mouth animation was good, only thing is it looked like they were grunting every time they talked, very well synced, I say you did a very good job. mini/smile
Thanks,
Jordan

I've got nothing.

Re: The Dark Knight Montage Clip

Uhm- I didn't use GlueFace. In fact, I wanted to... but my PC has some serious problems and wouldn't use Java. So I downloaded the phonemes from Bricktrick and edited them manually in Photoshop, frame by frame.

But thanks a lot, guys. Glad you like it mini/smile

I'm actually a bit suprised about how it came out on YouTube... the animation is usually 15 fps, but it looks like 5 here. mini/confused Quality is bad, too. But well - never mind.

Re: The Dark Knight Montage Clip

Pretty good, though it looked slightly odd that they only talked through one side of their mouth, but the syncing was good. Also there were a couple of moments where it got a bit too dark, such as when Batman jumps down after Maroni, making it hard to tell what was going on if you didn't know the original scene (but then again, who doesn't by now mini/tongue).

Re: The Dark Knight Montage Clip

I thought it was very good, but sometimes the mouths looked too bright compared to the rest.

Re: The Dark Knight Montage Clip

Waayyy too dark compared to the real movie, but well done!

I know it's been quite a while- but I now managed to upload a High-Definition version of this clip. I also improved in compression, so the animation is much smoother. Enjoy.

Re: The Dark Knight Montage Clip

Very impressive on the mouth animation. Kinda dark. Overall very entertaining and a very well planned video. Keep up the work.

Re: The Dark Knight Montage Clip

I am not particularly happy about the mouth animation because I like classic legos with no mouth movement but you can't please everyone. The Dark Knight being my favorite movie though this certainly sparked me into wanting to see it for the 15th time.

This thread has been dead for almost two years. It's obviously inactive. Please don't post on threads that have been inactive for some time. Post on the more recent ones.

It's okay to bump if you have something to contribute.  This counts.

All right. I'm just thinking to myself that it seems somewhat pointless if the topic has been dead for years.

I apologize.
