Can I use stuff besides lego? (I'll use lego, but can I use non-lego items as part of the set?)
Yes that is fine, so long as you use predominantly LEGO pieces, or have them as your main feature. (Think Brotherhood Workshop's Lord of the Rings videos)
That sounds just fine, I wouldn't want to take my own prizes. 
Unlisted or public? not private or public (they won't be able to see it if it's private)
Another question.
When our film is complete, are we allowed to make the film public (via Youtube, etc.)?
Or should the film remain private until the contest is over?
You are allowed to release the film whenever and however you choose. As long as I have access to it before the deadline, it shall be fine.
I am definitely entering! I'm not bitter or anything that I can't enter THAC. 
Huh. I forgot how hard it was to write a script designed to fit within a very tight runtime limit.

OMG. If I start this tomorrow I could actually do it. I just hope I don't lose point for un-christmasish theme.

This looks like a good contest, Spider. Unfortunately, we will not be able to enter due to various issues. I look forward to seeing the other contestants' entries, though!
Er ... i have a little question:
My logo is long 12 second (i speak for myself,but could also to be a problem for other people),counts in the minute of movie or no?:/
dang guys, looks like i wont be able to enter after all!!!! visiting my girlfriend during when it takes place.... there's a slight chance i'll be able to do it but doesn't look like it!!! looking forward to seeing all of the entries, seems like theres gonna be FIERCE COMPETITION

I think I'll make an entry over this weekend, or maybe the next weekend. Seems like a good warm up for THAC.

12 seconds is about 10 seconds too long for a logo, especially for a 1-minute film. Cut that down!

Oh and Spider I found this contest hugely repelling and thus I could not bring myself to enter. That aside, I'm concentrating on thac and am consequentially busy. Good luck anyways.

Carousel's posts are normally proofread pretty well. I would be assuming this is sarcasm due to the bad grammar and spelling.
