End's dolly deserves to be quoted in its entirety.
There are many different ways to build a perfect dolly. End's is actually easier to see:

I assure you, building a good dolly will probably be the most rewarding investment of time you will ever make as a brickfilmer.
Measuring out dolly shots is hard, and takes a load of stressful time, but with this perfect dollies become the easiest and fastest thing to animate.

Though, for camera movement, a high quality web can is probably a more advantageous thing to have. There are many sorts of camera movements which I would very much like to try out, but I cannot because I haven't been able to build a thing capable of supporting my camera's weight. I'm still trying to find some ways, though.
