Topic: Quickcam Pro 9000 Cradle

I haven't seen a definitive QCP9K cradle yet that's as simple as the classic 4K one, so I played around with mine for a while until I came up with something half decent. You can see it here.

It's kind of mostly stable, keeps the camera low enough to get good minifig close-up shots, and doesn't require any technic building skills. Alternative designs or suggestions for improvements are welcome.

Re: Quickcam Pro 9000 Cradle

That one looks good, but I'm sure there is a definitive one somewhere that someone made.

Thanks for showing this.

Re: Quickcam Pro 9000 Cradle

Well, I had a look and the only one I could find was that insane technic one full of gears and stuff. Great for camera movement but not very easy to make and a bit bulky. If you can link to others, that would be great.

Re: Quickcam Pro 9000 Cradle

Man, everyone seems to be getting a Quickcam Pro 9000 lately.

Re: Quickcam Pro 9000 Cradle

That's a pretty handy base. Fits my QC9000 very well.

Kudos, sir!

I can't think of a better HD camera for the money. Plus it has software-driven focus, so you never have to touch the camera.

Just got mine three days ago. Contest prize. mini/mrgreen
It's funny, I was thinking of making a cradle for mine, and just today I see this on my flickr page.
Thanks for posting this, 0ldScratch!

Re: Quickcam Pro 9000 Cradle

I may be getting one soon, but I have to mow some more lawns first.

Can't have a crummy G1 and a decent G9 (HD) but they move about....

I hate being the only one with nothing (Animation Software and Camera).

Re: Quickcam Pro 9000 Cradle

Go 9000! I have a pretty simple cradle. But the manual focus is a charm!

Re: Quickcam Pro 9000 Cradle

I have a simple cradle too. Its sturdy and stuff. And you can channel the wire out the back.

Re: Quickcam Pro 9000 Cradle

My Cradle is pretty simple too but I might give this one a try.

Only problem with that is that I'm using the latest build of Windows 7 and thus it's not fully compatible with my brand new QC9000 and thus my attempt at restarting my brickfilming career will be put on hold again...

oh ya, the craddle looks pretty good. I'll have to make one.

Re: Quickcam Pro 9000 Cradle

Nice! I have my own little cradle, it works for me mini/lol
