Re: Countdown to Justice

Thanks, Divine.

Unfortunately, the chances of any of this becoming a brickfilm are now very slim. While I'm likely to do some kind of DC animation in the future (as I have done several times in the past) it will undoubtedly be a separate story to Countdown to Justice. Writing a story gives me the chance to explore locations and 'set pieces' that I would never be able to do in a brickfilm, particularly regarding what I have planned for Volumes II and III.

Re: Countdown to Justice

Thats alright Jampot.

To be honest, I am surprised to hear you say you wouldn't be able to do countdown to justice as a brickfilm, your brickfilms are of high quality and professionalism that one like I would think you could master this into a brickfilm masterpiece.
But I can understand that you do hold a good point in regards to building these large sets I'd suspect. Also writing does give you that extra privlidge of being able to be as open as you want in your story with no limit or boundary as a brickfilm would restrain.

None the less I do look forward to seeing more DC animations from you, and to continue being updated with this stories!

Sincerely,
Divine.

Re: Countdown to Justice

Not exactly part of the story, but I did a couple of photomanips of Firestorm, another DC superhero. This was basically an early test to see if I could do the fire effect in Photoshop, and for a first attempt I think these images are okay. I'll be giving this another go at some point, and eventually I may try actually animating Firestorm in some capacity. (just for a test or something - the chance of me adding him to a brickfilm is extremely slim).

I think the thing I need to work on most is my lighting, but that's something that's not exclusive to these images. I could do with investing in some LEDs or something. I'm not a fan of the energy around Firestorm's hands in the second picture, either.

Re: Countdown to Justice

good use of parts, the fire at his head looks like it is behind him though.

Re: Countdown to Justice

Update: Volume II has begun! I haven't made a egular release schedule this time, but I'm hoping it won't drag on for too long. This volume will focus on the Justice League trinity: mainly Wonder Woman, but also the animosity between Batman and Superman. I hope you enjoy it, and if you like it please Flickr favourite it and leave a comment!
