Topic: Camera Cradle

Earlier in the chat room, someone asked about camera cradles for the Logitech c920.
I could not find the original Youtube video or article where I discovered this.
So, I decided to just go ahead and take photos…

Basically, the cradle consists of two 2x4 lego bricks on each side….two 4x10 plates (one on top, one on the bottom).
And, a little bit of box tape on the back tail part of the camera to hold it in the lego frame…

Also, I put blue tac on the bottom to keep it in place while filming.
Nothing super special…kinda MacGyver-ish.
Well, here ya go. Hope this helps out some of y'all for THAC. mini/smile

Re: Camera Cradle

Interesting...That's the exact same rig I use for my c920. I guess great minds think alike.

Re: Camera Cradle

wouldn't this rig make it difficult to get anything but 90 degree angles?

Not if you rig some kind of rotating mechanism, but if I used this rig, I actually wouldn't attach it to the baseplates of the set.

Re: Camera Cradle

I basically do that to my Logitech 910.

Like Tenny said, I never actually attach it to the ground. I'll put it on rig for motion, or rotate it however I need it. Or I'll tilt it to get angled shots.
