I think this would be great!

I'm not much of a writer. This idea sounds nice, maybe I'll improve when I participate.

I'd be interested in exploring having something like this as a division of the primary summer contest. 10 pages max, must be unproduced, anything goes but adhering to the same theme as the general contest.

That would be awesome. I am for this.

So just writing?  Any possibility it being produced/animated?

Idea: Two part contest, first part is the script/story contest.  Top winners have the option to auction off their script/story to animators or attempt to animate it themselves for the animation contest.  Conditions should be considered, such as writer giving animator full control as long as they maintain the "spirit" of the script/story.

Does the writer get a cut of the winning animator's prize?  Does submitting a script to said contest and auctioning it of mean the writer relinquishes all rights to it?
