Could a mod tell me if my entry is eligible or not?

It'll work. It's stop-motion surrounded by stop-motion, even though the actual "fancy" part was done in the computer. That's no problem, of course, since that's the way you chose to do it. Technically this is the animation challenge, so all the emphasis of your project should be put on the actual animation. So it'll work and I'll judge it fairly. Or if you want, you can always submit again, it's up to you.

Re: The Animation Challenge

Awesome entries, everyone! It was SO HARD to pick a winner. I painfully had to keep narrowing it down, but I've decided on Brickcrazy as the winner! I love how you did the anticipation of the draw, the actual spin was great, and the firing and push-back of the gun was just what I was looking for.

Great job to everyone else, too. I'm very happy with this turnout! You're next, Brickcrazy!

Congrats Brickcrazy!

Re: The Animation Challenge

Thanks, rio!

Given the fact that most of our members will likely be busy participating in the upcoming annual THAC competition this weekend, I think it might be prudent to postpone the next animation challenge to the week following.

I'll be posting the next challenge on Tuesday, January 9th. Until then, happy New Year everyone and good luck with THAC!

Re: The Animation Challenge

I agree, Brickcrazy. Good luck (if luck even exists) with THAC! mini/smile

Re: The Animation Challenge

I will participate in the next one mini/yes

Re: The Animation Challenge

Whoops, looks like I forgot to post the next challenge... mini/shifty

Sorry about that, folks. Without further ado, the next animation challenge theme is doing a cartwheel. To clarify, your entry must involve a minifigure executing the gymnastic maneuver known as a cartwheel. I'm interested in seeing the various ways I'm certain you all will try to tackle this one.

In light of the success of the previous challenge hosted by Rioforce, the timeframe will again be extended to 2 weeks. It will also end on a Monday so as to return the the original schedule as set out by Nathan Wells. Thus, the deadline for entries is Monday, February 5!

I hope to see lots of creative entries again. Good luck!

My entry

Re: The Animation Challenge

Weasel, do you know that's not a cartwheel, right? mini/wink That's more of a gymnastic tumble.

Re: The Animation Challenge

Yeah. I wasn't sure how exactly I would go about doing it. I was originally thinking of doing several attempts and string them together, but, even though it really doesn't look great, I was satisfied with the animation. I was aware that it should have been done more sideways, but I was too lazy. mini/tongue

Re: The Animation Challenge

I may try to enter. We'll see.
