Ah good, you figured it out, sorry for not replying sooner. The likelihood was that you probably still had the 'New Member' status when you first tried. Also just to let you know that you can't create any topics in the contests and festivals section.
Anyway, about the test.
The effect is pretty good, although the blue is too dark for what the blue lightsabers in Star Wars are like. You could also make it better by giving the top a more rounded/pointy top when it first comes up 
Thanks! I'll try it the next time I make a lightsaber effect. I also wanted to add a blue light on his face to make it look like the lightsaber is there, But I couldn't find a blue led or flashlight.
