Topic: POLL: When should BRAWL take place?

Hey there, it's me, Chris W. I am taking over responsibilities as host of BRAWL (Brickfilm Rapidly All Week Long.) Previous host Fun Sucker has graciously given me the duties as host, and I hope to be just as great a host as he was.

And this year is a very special year. That's because it's BRAWL's TEN-YEAR ANNIVERSARY! But in terms of planning it, we need your help.

Like last year, BRAWL will take place while BiM's summer contest is happening. The official BiM summer contest will run from June 1st - September 1st. Fortunately it didn't create too big of an impact to either contest last year, and I don't believe the same will happen this year. Even still, we need your feedback for which week in July will work best.

Please vote in the poll and leave any additional comments or questions below. The poll will run for two weeks and the official announcement post will be posted in the next month to month-and-a-half.

I would say it should be sometime other than July 1st - July 8th.  That's the week of the 4th of July, and I have a feeling some people will want to celebrate for that rather than working on BRAWL.

Yeah, our town is one of the few in California that still allows fireworks, so everyone comes to our place. It always ends up being the biggest party of the year for that reason, even if it's not the most important holiday, and we always have a huge jam sesh, but all the cleanup before and after makes it a bad week for me personally.

Normally, I'm all for the contest being earlier. However, I've had some major issues with my computer (my hard drive corrupted), so I'm voting for a later date to give myself some time to get a new drive. mini/tongue

I may be the only person planning on doing BRAWL that's going to it, but Bricks by the Bay is happening from July 12 to 15. Just putting that out there hee hee mini/bigsmile I'll probably try to make something no matter when it is, though.

It would be a shame to see you of all people disadvantaged for BRAWL, but if it does land on that week, you should look into the feasibility of using it to your advantage...

Welp, I help out at my church's vacation bible school from July 15th - July 22nd and chances are, I'm going to be away July 22nd - July 29th    . That said, any of the other weeks are good for me, but Ima vote for July 8th - July 15th, since that's simply my preference.

Who knows, maybe this year, I'll actually complete my BRAWL entry!
