Predation: A Halloween Special (2013)
After Part 3, I took a break from Knightrise to participate in a Halloweeen video contest. This wasn't specifically an animation contest, and I was the only stop motion entry among what was almost exclusively live action entries. While I didn't dream of winning, my video did make the top five, which I was pretty happy with.
Unfortunately, Predation falls a little flat. I'm not a horror fan, so it's difficult to make good horror without being familiar with similar material. It's also hard to make LEGO horror films due to LEGO being universally recognized as a toy. So what was intended to spook the audience merely spooped them. However, for the most part, I'm happy with how the lighting turned out in this one. Just enough to show the important bits clearly, and not enough to betray the mood or smallness of the set.
