I'm recording in Audacity, and when I record, I get lots of background noise. (Mainly my laptop's humming.) I've tried several microphones, and they keep doing the same thing. How do I eliminate this?
Have you tried turning down the recording volume?
Yep, and it still picks up background noise.
What mic are you using right now? 
I have the same problem with my sound recording. 
I had that problem once. I had one person who could stop it for me and held the mic as far away fomr the computer as it would go.

I had the same problem (Mainley because of BSOD.) Took my New microphone, Took some foil, Taped it with it, Still workin' on it... Just got Rick Roll'd by my computer, by BSOD D:
