Does it look good? Or should I switch it out?

I like how you used a Star Wars torso, but I think it looks too much like armor.  If that's the look you are going for, I might add some kind of shoulder pads.  If not, then I would replace the hands with yellow.

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

It looks really good as armor if that's what you're shooting for.

So I have a bad habit of starting filming without deciding on what any of my characters will look like, I just finished shooting the first set and I haven't even decided on the main outfit of my protagonist. This is 'sister' and she is the primary character for my current project, thoughts?

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

Personally i'd use a different head, since that one always seems about 40-ish. The rest looks great.

The face will be CGI maybe I'll whip up an example when I get home from work today.

For my upcoming spiderman series, I designed some of the characters myself. Here is the Prowler:

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

In my upcoming film there's going to be a massive gun fight involving a bunch of cops at some point.  I probably won't be animating it any time soon, but I still put together some police officer minifig designs.  I have a pretty wide range of police minifigure parts from over the years.  Which "style" should I go for?

http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c343/Mr_Sm1l3y/IMG_5994_zpskbt5mkhq.jpg

This is the first sort of design I came up with, and at this point the one I'm most partial to.

http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c343/Mr_Sm1l3y/IMG_5995_zps1jpqqpvl.jpg

I also have a few of these, but I'm not that fond of them, since the torsos look rather bland, I find.  Still, I might throw in a few of the ones on the left, since they're the "standard" police officers (as opposed to, say, a more heavily armed SWAT-style team).

http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c343/Mr_Sm1l3y/IMG_5993_zpsz6extxi5.jpg

I have quite a few of these Classic motorcycle police torsos, and I really like the comparatively stylised and minimalistic look they have.

http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c343/Mr_Sm1l3y/IMG_5998_zps2wqebpk9.jpg

I doubt I'll be using these since I have very few of these torsos (only one SWAT one and two or three of the others) but I thought I'd throw it in for comparison's sake.

These two are the "main" police officers, in that they have speaking lines (beyond assorted grunts and screams of anguish).  I'm pretty happy with their design so I don't think I'll change them much.

Of course I can mix and match any of these parts if need be.  Personally, I'm kind of torn between the blue shirt + vest and Classic jacket design.  Any thoughts?

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

I think the bright colors in the first group fit the more comedic tone that you had in the trailer.

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

Here's a sci-fi character I recently made. Right now, her name is Nebula Quasar (or "Nebby" for short). I might end up changing it though. Unfortunately, despite the fact that I'm working on a space themed film right now, I don't have any plans on using the character in any films in the near future at least.

Why, it's Nebby Quasar! She's a rough, tough, sharp shooting space cowgirl with a mighty convincing southern belle accent! mini/wink

This is a figure for my entry into the Bim Summer Contest.
I'm not sure whether it one looks better with the black or purple legs.

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

It's not that you can't post images, it's that they aren't being hosted on a photo-sharing site.
Try uploading them to Flickr. Photobucket, or any number of similar sites.

The website coding is messed up in the first post, and it appears that the second post's pictures are set on some private setting. As they can't be publicly viewed. To fix it, try uploading to a photo sharing site, then use the code you used in the first post, but replace the URL with the photo's URL from site.
