Topic: The 2009 Bricks in Motion Awards: Potential Nominee List

That's right!
2009 is coming to a close, and as the new year approaches, it's time to get ready for the 2009 Bricks in Motion Awards! What are the BiMAs you might ask? The BiMAs are an Oscar-like awards presentation that commemorate and award some of the year's best brickfilms in many categories.

Before judges can nominate films, we need to create a potential nominee list. That's where you come in. Because the directory was not opened until March, it is not a fully reliable source for determining nominees yet. So to create this potential nominee list, we need the community to post some of the best films in all categories.
All you need to do is post a brickfilm that:
1. Was released in 2009
2. The director is a member on BricksInMotion.com
3. Was not already mentioned
4. Was not made by yourself (don't suggest your own films)

What are the categories this year?
-Best Film
-Best Animation
-Best Cinematography
-Best Screenplay
-Best Visual Effects
-Best Set Design
-Best Original Score
-Best Sound Design
-Best Vocal Performance by an Individual
-Best Ensemble Cast

All members on this site are eligible to be named. Remember, this thread is collecting films in all categories, so please have your suggestions vary in category.

Let the 2009 BricksInMotion Awards begin!

"actuallly this involves spiderman too, not batman. but im also taking a new approach, more comedy, less action. i dont see to many movies like that with more comedy than action" --SteveStarfyTV on an Indiana Jones meets Star Wars idea.

Re: The 2009 Bricks in Motion Awards: Potential Nominee List

Remember that these aren't formal nominations or anything; all you're doing is putting films out there you think are worthy.

Re: The 2009 Bricks in Motion Awards: Potential Nominee List

What's with the rule against suggesting your own films? What if someone made a film that people don't nominate, but that really deserves consideration?

Re: The 2009 Bricks in Motion Awards: Potential Nominee List

About the support Darkman's vote, I wasn't seriously suggesting my own film.

I figured this scenario was pretty unlikely -- last year when we asked for suggestions, my recollection was that a lot of posts in response were stuff from new people like "I'm working really hard on this new film and I think it has great sets!"

Not that people follow the rules, anyway, haha, I'm seeing a lot of repeats here. mini/wink

One I can think of is Monkey See, Monkey Do (by VN) for Best animation.
Another one is It's the Network (by LegoShark) for Best ensemble cast.

I would suggest your film Vik, in some way it's a daring video and of the strongest and mesmorizing I've seen this year.
