Re: The 2009 Bricks in Motion Awards: Potential Nominee List

He was saying you haven't seen Picturesque yet, so he didn't think there was a point in mentioning it.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, guys, although it might have been nice if people had made an effort to avoid previously mentioned films.  D:

Anyway once we have a decent collection of suggestions, we'll assemble a shortlist for the judges and go from there.  The shortlist will be a list of all the films judges are required to watch; last year we had 38 films on the list, it was over 3 hours of films.

Because its the BiM Awards

Re: The 2009 Bricks in Motion Awards: Potential Nominee List

Yeah, we have to draw the line somewhere and what with the existence of official promotional videos and countless youtube directors, limiting it to this site looks like the best way to ensure there's some consistency.  It'll also make more sense for the 2010 awards, when we will only consider films submitted to the directory.  Anyone who hasn't shared their work here is still free to do so until the end of the year to make themselves eligible.

And besides, most brickfilmers are on this site anyways.

Most GOOD brickfilmers. There are hundreds of us out there that could barely be considered one. BIM is where the big brickers go! mini/bigsmile

I do not care about your opinion, unless it has to do with it needing more ponies.

No, I'm still planning to release it this year, though it could be the 31st!

Haha, that might really shakes things up.

But then practically no one would know about it if it was released right before 2010, and no one would suggest it.

Which actually seemed to happen to The Adventures of Eddy and Jane. It was noticed when it was released yes, but it was only mentioned once in here (maybe people are following the rules... Nah)

Awesomesauce. Can't wait. I'll watch and write a terrible, critical, bashing review to balance out everyone else's inevitable praise and adoration for your film skills.

Re: The 2009 Bricks in Motion Awards: Potential Nominee List

May I suggest Cheese Chase, for best animation and set design?

Re: The 2009 Bricks in Motion Awards: Potential Nominee List

Alright guys, let's stop with the comments on vik's film. I don't think it really had anything amazing about it, and it would most likely just take up space on the potential nominee list, and not get nominated.

I'll add Cheese Chase, not the strongest animation contender, but the sets do give it a shot in Set Design.
