Re: The 2009 Bricks In Motion Awards: Viewer's Choice [CLOSED]

To be eligible to vote, you must have been a member on BricksInMotion.com before 2009. If you were a member on the Refugee Camp, you will be eligible as well.

THIS IS DISCRIMINATION.

Ah well, there is always next time. Good luck to all of you nominees! If I could vote, I would have gone for *** ****.

Ark, first of all, you can't vote because you joined in 2009. Second of all, voting hasn't even started yet. mini/tongue

Re: The 2009 Bricks In Motion Awards: Viewer's Choice [CLOSED]

I'm a bit confused. Why must all voters be members in 2008? If this is the 2009 awards, can't people from that year judge?

Yes it has.

Re: The 2009 Bricks In Motion Awards: Viewer's Choice [CLOSED]

We want to ensure that voters have been around for a while, and have some experience and familiarity with the community before they can participate in voting for this; the hope is that it will cut down on people just voting for one movie they liked without watching the rest of the list.

Note that if you registered in 2009 you will be able to vote in this next year; the cutoff moves forward each year.

Ballots will be accepted from now until Monday, February 1st, 2010. This gives you roughly 3 weekends to watch the films and decide.

Yes, you can vote.

Re: The 2009 Bricks In Motion Awards: Viewer's Choice [CLOSED]

So, I joined the day BiM opened, and I was present in the Refugee Camp. That means I'm legible for voting, right? mini/smile

Persist.

Re: The 2009 Bricks In Motion Awards: Viewer's Choice [CLOSED]

You didn't join in 2009 so, yes, you can vote. What is refugee camp, by the way?

Re: The 2009 Bricks In Motion Awards: Viewer's Choice [CLOSED]

The Refugee Camp was the forum only BiM that most of us belonged to before the main site was released.

Re: The 2009 Bricks In Motion Awards: Viewer's Choice [CLOSED]

I remember when they still had that, back when I joined in early '09. Wow, that seems so long ago! Would that mean I'm eligible? I did join at that time.

After a five year hiatus, I have returned

Rats! If I'd signed up a mere three days earlier, I'd be in! *sigh* Oh well.

I never plan on buying anything when I go to the Lego Store.
Strangely enough, I always wind up finding something that makes me ditch those plans.

Yes, it does in fact make you eligible to vote.

Re: The 2009 Bricks In Motion Awards: Viewer's Choice [CLOSED]

After consideration, we have decided to move the join date to June 30, 2009.
You are now eligible to vote if you joined BricksInMotion.com June 30, 2009 or earlier.

Send your votes to the member BiMA09 in a private message.
