Not what i was thinking. 
I just want to check something, since I haven't made a film with music in it before. If I have bought a music CD, can I use that music since I paid for it?

Note that whilst co-productions will not be disqualified, should one win it will be up to the winners to figure out how to share the prize. Brickscope is under no obligation to split the prize vouchers themselves.
I did leave out the mod element on purpose. For a shorter contest like THAC or BRAWL I believe them to be necessary, but for a longer contest like this I don't think they're needed.

I would think laughter would be in the same category as coughing, sneezing etc.

EDIT: Are we allowed to have things like a word definition in the beginning or end? I'm not really planning on that, though, just wondering.

Nice theme. I've got the perfect idea for it. Something I've been turning over for a while. We'll see if I can get something done. September's going to be busy for me. But I just moved into a new place with a whole room to use as my studio and I'm going to try and get in the habit of animating for at least an hour each day, so maybe I can get this done.
Or can we add one quote of a famous person?

Wow, since all my films are basically only dialogue, this will help me actually thinking of a good idea for a film, great theme! Entering, though it might be difficult to get my entry done since school has started here.
I can't believe this! No dialogue is the theme? I am currently in the making of a silent movie for another contest. 
But that has some titles instead of speaking, so that won't be good for Septemberfest. I gotta think of something else.

I'm pretty sure you cannot. Everyone could claim they bought the CD, and buying the CD doesn't give you copyright, it's just for listening purposes only, I believe.

Ask one of the composer's to compose for you're film. I'm planning on asking T.G-Tom to compose for my Septemberfest.
Legitimately royalty-free music sites like Incompetech and Musopen are also okay as long as you credit them correctly.
Those Max animation's that Paganomation fit the theme well.
I'll use them for inspiration.
