Not quite a shot-for-shot remake, Markenration takes some liberties with the original in this LEGOization of the music video for Taylor Swift's 2009 hit "You Belong With Me." Telling the somewhat clichéd story of a shy band geek stealing the quarterback away from his cheerleader girlfriend, most of the alterations are forced by the limitations of the medium; most notably, the lack of any American football LEGO and the director's jury-rigged substitute makes one wonder if perhaps it would have been better to change the sport entirely. The editing gets a bit messy in places and the animation has some weird hiccups, but ultimately this is still a fun watch. Worth a view, especially if you're a fan of the music.
