Topic: Webcam vs. Digital Still-image Camera

Which is better? A web cam (like the Quick Cam 9000) or a Digital Still-image (like the powershot)?:/

Re: Webcam vs. Digital Still-image Camera

Quality-wise, digital cameras outdo webcams, period. Most digital cameras require a bit more work in order for them to be used directly through software, but usually the extra effort is worth it. Especially if you already own the digital camera.

Re: Webcam vs. Digital Still-image Camera

Hm.
If you think about to buy a cam, but don´t have enough money, so go and buy the new Logitech C910.
It got a 5MP picture-size, a quite cool picture-colour, manual fokus, zoom...
And - its a lot easyer to handle with as a digicam.

I own the Canon A520, and I shoot until yet my clips with it. I used the CSMC to capture the pics.
But to focuss and all other stuff is much harder than with a webcam like the C910
Ok, the Digicam got a bit better Picture-Quality as the C910, but the easyer way to handle with was enough buy a C910

Here you can watch some pictures captured with the C910

And, at least, the C910 is much cheaper than a Digicam!
