Topic: Animation software COMPATIBLE WITH THE T3i!!

HEY i havn't been on here for a year!

SOO i got a Canon T3i to replace my 9000 to use for Live Action films and NOW (hopefully) for brickfilms. So IF I HALF TOO then i'll pay some money but im still trying to buy a zoom lens so money is scarce.

OK so basically on the iStopmotion supported camera list it says the T3i works on the pro version, but when i tried the free trail NOPE, NO LIVE CAPTURE!

Basically i need some help from people that have a T3i, or maybe know of some free/paid programs i can animate with.

AND BTW I HAVE A MAC!

Why's livecaptrue is so important, I be fine without some livecapture things. I just take the pictures and import them to Monkey Jam!

Having a live feed of your footage is important for checking framing, focus, colour, keeping camera bumps in check and a bunch of other stuff.

I would like to know the same thing. I just purchased the 1100D (Canon T3) I'm too cheap to buy DragonFrame, but I don't know of any other software compatible with Canon DSLR's.

Yea i've been thinking about it for a while, and i guess it's my only choice. OF COURSE if anyone has any other suggestions then continue to post!

Well, according to their website, Stop Motion Pro Action! HD (and all higher versions) has Live View support for Canon and Nikon DSLR's.  It is $185, though, so it's still pretty expensive, but it is cheaper than DragonFrame.

Yeah, I think you should get Stop Motion Pro.  It's got a buch of great tools, like in-program masking and onionskinning (that really comes in handy).  I use it, and I think it's worth the money.

I've used Stop Motion Pro in the past, and I wouldn't use it again anyway. Dragonframe has been superior in every respect, in my experience.

I might give the Utility a try cause i'd just HATE to film with no capture software STRAIGHT from the camera with no way to watch the footage back with the correct fps.

Dragonframe is just WAY to expensive ESPECIALLY now that i make live action videos, because i have to put my money towards others lenses and reflectors and rigs.

HEY so is iStopmotion PRO SUPPOSED to work with the canon T3i, anyone wanna do some looking around for me cause people sometimes say it does but the demo doesn't let me!
