Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I don't know what kind of "canister" you're talking about. Could you show me a picture?

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I think he means the 1x1 cylinder piece.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Ah. I'll try that, and maybe post a picture here later.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Double post. Didn't think I'd be able to do anything for awhile, otherwise I wouldn't have made the previous post.

Well, I didn't have enough of the cyliders, but then I had the idea of making my current fence look a little less fancy by making it brown, and using "brick bricks."

It almost seems a bit dark now, but maybe that's just the contrast from the old bright fence.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Looks better, the foreground is in focus and I think the fence is nice. mini/smile
If you do add a chimney, you only need one cylinder... mini/wink

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Those brick bricks are much better! Where did you get those anyway, I've never seen them before

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Well, I got a bunch from two Ninjago sets (They are used on the shrines holding the snake staffs): Venomari Shrine (6 or 7 I think) and Jay's Storm Fighter (4 I believe). Then I ordered about 15 or so from Bricklink to have on hand for times like this. I luv'em. mini/love

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Yup. Anyway, I added a chimney. I thought that regular 1x1 bricks looked better than the cylinders:

Good call. I don't see many cylindrical chimneys and for your style of house the 1x1s fit in perfectly.

I don't make Brickfilms. I trade virtual hats.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Yay a chimney! mini/XD
Seriously, it looks good.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

@Ttown, that's amazing! mini/jaw
The bookshelf, the table, the lighting, the typewriter, all of it is simply incredible!
It looks like a professional MOC, and I can't wait to see it in the brickfilm.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

@Ttown, WHOA! The set design is amazing, but what really struck me is the lighting. Very dynamic, and the shadows look great.

I wonder who Philip is... (:P)

Awesome set, but be careful about using those buildings too many times for backgrounds, someone might notice.
