That's awesome! maybe to get the city you could use a paper/card backdrop.

You can see the whole scene in this game walkthrough: Clickidy click!

I'll send those lines to you later today. Any others you want while I'm at it, if there are any other Bad Cop scenes?

In the actual scene there is just some plain dark buildings in the background.

Looks really nice Just the reflection of the light of the buildings looks kind of odd but a really nice frame looking forward to watching this.

Osmomstudios, I like the police car: slightly futuristic yet it reminds me of early 80s designs.

That the best set I've seen from you Holding, good job. I'm just not a huge fan on the light blue carpet on the alter, it looks alright, but it seems like you have three different shades of blue in there.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Holding looks pretty good I wood suggest moving the door to the back as it looks kind of odd by the piano. And maybe changing the floor colour. But over all it looks pretty nice.

I disagree. My own meetinghouse happens to have a door right next to the organ. I think many churches are designed like that.

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Came up with a candlestick design making use of the foil from the musketeer collector's minifig.

This is just a mockup shot, a couple of minutes in Photoshop.

Some Set pics of Dr, Dre's office. I haven't animated it yet so if you see something that you think I should ad or change, it would really be appreciated.

The model design was inspired by a real church, which has teal carpeting.  I put some thought in the color scheme, and this is the reasoning for the 3 types of blue: I used light blue because it was close and I have quite a bit of that color.  The blue kneelers were supposed to match the carpeting on the altar, but I needed 14 grills and had 2, so I compromised!  The sand blue moulding was supposed to be slightly different to differentiate from the altar, and be a compliment to the beige (tan) walls, which are a in the complimentary side of the color wheel.  So I did wish to have only 2 types of blue.  Thanks for the compliment and constructive criticism!  I really appreciate it.

That's exactly where a side door is in relation to the organ in my own church.  I'm also thankful that it's located there, because it's used as a plot point and that's really the most convenient place for it.

Also, I am going to change the floor color; I just didn't have the right plates until very recently.  It will match the altar.  Right now, though, those plates are being used as the color of the floor in the general store set.  I built it a while ago, but wasn't happy with the yellow floor.  I originally chose yellow as an analogous color to the orange moulding in the general store, but as I prepared for shooting, didn't like it, and put in the light blue.

Here's the frame of the building before I added all the details.  Except for the gray plates & door frame, it's entirely pieces from the Pick-A-Brick Wall in Christiana Mall, Delaware:

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I'm not sure orange is such a good choice for the skirting and coving - it's a little too bright against the beige walls. I'd suggest the darker tan that you can see in this set.

Here are a couple of things I built that I'm quite proud of. I got the President Business fig the other day and decided he needed a nice big, evil throne to park his posterior on. Thought it was quite reasonable, especially the two tables with the laptop, phone and mug. The top is supposed to vaguely resemble Lord Business' helmet. He also has a mini-Kragle.

Next is what I'm most pleased with. I thought it would be fun to mix the Eagle and Lion legend beasts (y'know those new Chima sets) and make a griffin. I had to add a few extra pieces but I'm really pleased with the results. It's going to be for my film for the 2015 Showcase (films that aren't entered into the contest, but are made as part of it), assuming I can get some of my smaller brickfilms planned out first. The elf riding his back is Ascanius, leader of the Illyrion elves.
