Yikes! Some stiff competition. Good to see this thread so active again.

Here's mine.

So, do we have a winner?

Re: The Animation Challenge

I emailed Ozone about it, but if he doesn't post quick enough, it will be taken care of.

I'd give him until this afternoon/evening, then contact a (non participating) mod.

Re: The Animation Challenge

I’ll go ahead and take over here.

Considering I originally wanted to enter, I’m glad I didn’t. There sure is some stiff competition here! – Every single video had something I could learn from, which is great. If I ever need to take off a stormtrooper helmet in the future, I’ll be sure to study some of these frame by frame. 

With that being said, I think Pongowl should get the win here. Great animation, and funny premise. Wish it wasn’t unlisted, so the rest of the world could revel in its glory! I had to watch it several times (and then, had to go frame by frame) to see just how Jar Jar’s ear flapped out. Great entry – as were the rest.

Take it away!

Congratulations Pongowl!

Re: The Animation Challenge

Thanks, y'all! I was really happy to see so many great entries this round.

This week's challenge is flapping a sheet of cloth. Animate a minifigure holding a piece of cloth in front of them and shaking it out. The sheet can be an actual LEGO cloth element or something brick-built that is animated to look like a sheet.

Entries are due September 10. That should leave a couple weekends available for folks to make their entries. mini/smile

Happy animating!

Re: The Animation Challenge

Sorry for being too slow to judge. I kept forgetting about it. And I also don't check my email as much as I should. mini/shifty

So... we got someone to judge?

Re: The Animation Challenge

I'll take care of it.

Cooked Cat- Very dramatic! First, I love the overcoat (I have one myself, and love it, though I have having to remove arms to attach it. )

Amari- I like how you have it flip up above the guy's head, and the choice of a ripped cape was also pretty cool.

It was a tough decision, but I've got to hand it to Cooked Cat.
The overcoat appeared to catch the wind better as the folds moved down it to the end on each flip. The cloth changed shape a bit more, even if the flapping was less pronounced.
