Topic: Cars Discussion Thread

I know this thread probably won't last very long, but I wanted to get your opinions on the new Cars sets. My opinion: I think the lack of minifigures will drive me away from the sets for the most part, but Guido is cute. mini/tongue And Mater is just, well, Mater. mini/tongue Post your opinions here!

Re: Cars Discussion Thread

I think they look horrible.
I really don't like the idea of a Cars theme. Though the sets are detailed, it just looks strange. I liked Cars, I just don't think it makes a good LEGO theme.

Re: Cars Discussion Thread

I hate it when they make new pieces because they can't be creative and use old ones. What am I supposed to use this piece for besides Lightning MCQueen?

Re: Cars Discussion Thread

They made a Lego theme out of Disney Pixar's worst movie... mini/confused

Re: Cars Discussion Thread

TBH, I love the way the sets look. Even the cars' designs look great.

Re: Cars Discussion Thread

You could just put like stickers over their eyes to use them as regular cars in scenes.
Yahh, their kind of stupid. mini/blankexpression

Re: Cars Discussion Thread

Well, they could make good go karts.

Re: Cars Discussion Thread

A good car chase in a brickfilm, would be very interesting to watch.

I can see if being used as a chest piece for a mecha once the decals are taken off.

I'm a purist Unilego, I don't remove or apply decals.

Re: Cars Discussion Thread

I think they're pretty cool. They are limited on how you can animating them but still sorda neat. I like the Toy Story sets a little bit more though.

Re: Cars Discussion Thread

I love the design of the characters, but I don't know if I'll buy any/much, considering their limited application for Brickfilming. I'm sure we'll see some inventive MOC-usage down the line, though.

True master builders can find a use for any piece, period. They're genuine find-a-wayers.
