It looks fine. If it's not stable, then discontinue the use of it. I'd search "tripod" in Google Shopping.

Depends on what your budget is. I'm using a Cullmann Magnesit tripod and it works wonderfully. It's a 3-way one. Another quite reputable brand is Manfrotto.

Is that a joby gorrilapod? Because I was considering getting one of those, but got this instead.. The problem with mine is that the 3D ball Moves very easily and the telescopic tube shakes and wobbles from side-to-side A LOT.
I'm pretty sure Gorrilapods aren't very stable (Flexible legs).
My gorrilla pod looks exactly like the one in the BIM store(except that it's shorter) and it's extremely stable...unless you bump it which is very unlikely especially like me.

They are stiff aren't they? and require some force to bend so it doesn't just fall over? Someone correct if im wrong please, I don't have a gorillapod

Good of course! The goal is to keep the camera still. Stiff = no movement = good. The only problem would be camera movement, but a gorillapod is bad at this anyway.

I am pretty sure it's a Gorrilapod. I've had it for a year or two now and done me well.

Actually, the legs have flat bottoms so it works well. The legs aren't too flexible, too.

can the top rotate, so i can pan?
I know the one in the BIM store can rotate.
looking at it, i can't see a ball head. if anyone with a gorrillapod can answer, that would be helpful
EDIT: funny what difference a letter and punctuation can make...
I got the Vanguard vs 82. Look it up. Aint cheap but extremely stable with all panning and rotating options...
The ball on the top can rotate.
