Re: The State of Bricks in Motion

This was ignored in the Bugs/Suggestions thread, but that may be because the thread died.  Or maybe it's just ignored.  Anyway:

I just had an idea while browsing the forums.  There are some threads which I personally liked, but then died, and I somewhat forgot about them.  A couple examples are Abdax's thread about lighting here and Dewfilms's wishlist for films here, which I don't feel are necessarily right for stickies, but are definitely nice for reference.  If I could have a function in which I could favorite/bookmark the thread, that would be awesome.  So that, whilst I am bored, I could refer to it, and perchance be inspired by it to do something.  Just an idea, anyway.

Re: The State of Bricks in Motion

Well, you can always subscribe to a thread and then view your subscriptions.  Or just bookmark it in the browser.

I'd like to create a site map, including a forum map with links to interesting threads in several categories, that should fill some of this need eventually as well.

Re: The State of Bricks in Motion

Was there an error on the forums just like  a minute ago? At the bottom of the home page it said fatal error and stuff and I clicked on forums but it said some error thing.

Re: The State of Bricks in Motion

Yeah, that was there for about 10 seconds as I made a couple adjustments.  Thanks for not making a thread about it.

Re: The State of Bricks in Motion

What did you do? Or is it unnoticeable?

Re: The State of Bricks in Motion

Just a short question: Are you guys planning on having a working Films directory online before the end of STAR? mini/bigsmile

Still a little ways away though, but that time will fly by like a insert name of a fast plane here because my mind went blank.

Re: The State of Bricks in Motion

Ok, there's a new feature: click 'search' and it'll bring up a quick-search box.  Click "Perform New Search" to use the advanced search.

Re: The State of Bricks in Motion

....Has "Quick Quote" always been there?

Re: The State of Bricks in Motion

Whoops, no it hasn't, I accidentally enabled it.  I've disabled it again, personally I prefer the standard quote system.

Re: The State of Bricks in Motion

Me too, haha.  Good call.

Re: The State of Bricks in Motion

If anybody's wondering, pages are now 20 posts long instead of 35.  20 is more in line with most forums, will load faster, and also should cut down on database usage a little.

Re: The State of Bricks in Motion

Hey, I'm a new guy. Just wondering when the directory will be up. I saw that it should be ready be the end of the STAR contest, but when is that?
Thanks!

Re: The State of Bricks in Motion

Welcome! All the details for STAR can be found in this thread.

Re: The State of Bricks in Motion

I personally hope it's done quite a bit before the end of STAR, we will see though.
