The most annoying this about their posts (any post advertising a product or something), is that the can never get the URL links right. But yeah, I'd be glad to see them go.

This is probably in some way related to the recent crash...
The spam issue should be fixed now, but guys, telling a piece of spambot software to shut up isn't going to accomplish anything. If you see spam, use the "report" link at the bottom of the post to report it, but please ignore it. People complaining about spam in the threads caused much more disruption this time around than the spam itself did.

I was thinking that, maybe 
I should add that it's not as though we have a lot of content piled up for the resources. Hopefully we'll be able to have a complete structure for submitting articles automatically and organizing them soon, but the resources will continue to grow afterward.
I'm wondering will the "Free Software list" be an article or will the software listed in that thread have seperate links in the "Software" section?
The free software list is integrated into the software section; I might go back and edit it to indicate what's free and what's not at some point.
BertL, NXTManiac, and Tripod have been accepted into the Review Panel. Coming out of THAC 7 we have a lot of films in the queue, so let's get going!

When will the resources be coming out?
I'm not certain. Aled has made good progress on the system for the resources, once it's finished we'll need to add at least some content to it before we can release the resources. Hopefully we'll have something open within a month.
How much longer will it be before the resources section is up? We don't mean to be annoying, but we are all anxiously awaiting its expected coming with eager hearts and impatient spirits.
I'll be honest, it's going a little slowly. I have next to no free time right now because of school, and I think most of the other resources folks are in similar situations. But we're making progress. Basically we just want something presentable before we make it public and open the floodgates for automated article submissions. Hopefully we can get something released this summer.
We understand. We are often too busy to even animate, so we don't blame you for not having enough time to finish this section. We will be patient and await it's coming with joy.
