Re: THAC 9 [CLOSED]

We are a friendly filmmaking community devoted to the art of stop-motion animation using LEGO® and similar construction toys. Here, you can share your work, join our community of other brickfilmers, and participate in periodic animation contests!
A place to discuss, share, and create stop motion films.

I'M GONNA BE OUT OF TOWN!!!! T_T
I suppose I could beef up my laptop enough for it to run animation software, then I could get a mobile kit together and make do with that.
I am gonna enter. I just had my birthday, and got a whole bunch of new LEGO, so I am raring to go!
Even though I'm working on a major, multi-year project, I will probably still enter since I will be available at that time. The only obstacle is internet availability. My old modem will shut down tomorrow and the new modem has yet to arrive in the mail. If it's not here and working by the weekend, I may have to abstain from the contest. I am still excited about seeing the entries, though!
Schweet can't wait.

I suggest you procure a new e-mail address. Gmail is rather excellent.
Wow, I can't wait, this is actually the reason I joined bim last year. I saw a lot of the people I was subbed to come out with "THAC's" (on the same day) wich made me curious and I eventually found this website.
it so sucks that these are always in the middle of a weekend, around christmas time, when I'd much rather hang out with my friends since we are all back home for the holidays, instead of staying up for 24 hours straight animating.
I probably won't enter. Maybe if the theme is interesting I may come up with something and get the inspiration to start animating, kinda like I did with BRAWL. It depends also on how tired I'll be when I get back from school. I'll just wait and see what happens.
I just want to check on this, do capes count in the color mod?
In other words, if the mod is blue and green, would a blue head and green cape count?
And if I have a mini-fig and his head is yellow, his body blue, and his cape black, would that count if the color mod is blue and yellow? The parts would be connected and touching, but on the outside the cape would be inbetween.
(I might as well get the stupid questions out of the way now and have more time to animate on THAC day. )

Thank God that I have Thursday and Friday off, so I can get my massive Religion project done, and still be able to do THAC 9.

If you're going with the color mod, the two colors touching must be from actual bricks, e.g., actual LEGO (or LEGO clone) plastic pieces. Basically, just use your common sense.
Aw,what time would it be for Matthews?
Assuming you're referring to Matthews, North Carolina, THAC would begin at 7:00 AM local time. Here is a list of cities and their corresponding times which can be found in my original post if Matthews is somewhere else.
