Topic: Helium Frog - compatible camera list
I'm trying to put together a list of cameras that work with Helium Frog.
Could you let me know what cameras work with the software, webcams and particularly any prosumer digital ones.
Thanks.

Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000

Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000 also.
Oooh DSLR...

Could you please make it compatible with Canon EOS 1000D
It's a Digital Single Lence Reflex camera... (DSLR)
I own one of these also, so it will be the first to be looked at in future. You can use the analog output to get video out, but it gives you the back lcd view with all the icons on and the quality is a bit poor.
You could always use video assist using a webcam.
I use an easy cap card to capture the live output (they cost about £12) . There is also some information in the Helium Frog documentation on how you can remote control the shutter using a macro. The download even has a macro developed for this camera which works well with the canon software. Full live view support is something I would like to do and I have the SDK from canon, but it really is a lot of work and I have other things that need fixing in the program first.
Its quite good fun triggering the canon EOS 1000D remotely for time lapse animations. I would like to do one of a car journey like this one:-
