Topic: Best Brickfilms of the Past Two Years?

Hello Everyone!

Well as you can see, I'm back (man 2 years goes by fast) and I obviously have not been keeping up on what has happened in the brickfilming world in the last little while so I was just wondering if I could get a little help with recommendations of the best films that have come out in the past two years.  I've seen a few but I thought I'd ask you guys!

Re: Best Brickfilms of the Past Two Years?

Welcome back, Fancypants! I don't know if you've seen this already, but If you haven't, you gotta watch it: Foster the People - Houdini (in LEGO)

Re: Best Brickfilms of the Past Two Years?

Bestia by France and Alex, and The package 3 by saminatorger both come to mind. The brickfilmer's guild has a list of brickfilms of the month, that would probably be a good thing to check out.

Re: Best Brickfilms of the Past Two Years?

This past month has been great, both Nathan Wells and Fancypants have returned!
My favorites of the last two years are-

Ah, welcome back.
Here's a great one: Henri & Edmond: Copyright

Re: Best Brickfilms of the Past Two Years?

This one is simply amazing story wise: The Deadly Mission by PushOverProductions

Re: Best Brickfilms of the Past Two Years?

@mpfist0 I would have put that in but I wasn't sure if it was from less than 2 years ago (also the other big winner in the BIM awards was Egyptian Holiday)

Re: Best Brickfilms of the Past Two Years?

Copyright was released at the end of 2011, which was two years ago.

Here are some good films. Some have been mentioned already.

Egyptian Holiday
The Profession
(Technically was released at the end of 2010, so more like 2 1/2 years ago)
Henri and Edmond: Copyright
Viva la Vida
Houdini

Re: Best Brickfilms of the Past Two Years?

Fancypants!!!!!!

Great to see you back man!
Got a new film in the works yet?

First, rather than films, I'll direct you to filmmakers.
Namely Squid, and RepellingSpider.
Both are newer members than have really impressed me with their work.
Bionicle28 also has amazing work.

Now, Copyright (Linked above) is a must-see, as are Bestia and Castlevania 4.
(Those being the bigger, more 'epic' films of the last two years. Although I'm sure that I'm forgetting some.)

As for shorts, other than the above brickfilmer's work, No Crawme's Sing Along THAC is sublime. There are more, but slow internet and forgetful tendencies prevent me from linking to any more that haven't already been mentioned.

I suggest looking at the BiM awards recent contest winners.

BiM hasn't had awards since 2010.

*Smacks head on desk...Violently.*
Yeah, you're right. The last was 2011, and that was swept by Copyright and Egyptian Holiday.
Sorry. Just ignore that part. mini/eh

WELCOME BACK! mini/bigsmile
You left this site right after I started using it.
Copyright is basically the best brickfilm ever made, go watch that.

Re: Best Brickfilms of the Past Two Years?

A big warm welcome back to you, Fancy Pants! I wasn't here when you left, so you won't know me, but you were one of my biggest inspirations!

Now, here are a few films that I think you should really see:
Legend of the Samurai Ninja
Zombies: Exodus
Brickfilming is just Awesome: The first community project in 5 years!
Sharks and Clowns
People also seem to really like this film of mine.
Also, someone made a 2 1/2 hour long brickfilm, Kastlevania 4.

Re: Best Brickfilms of the Past Two Years?

It's creepy to think I wasn't even on this site when you left. 8|
But I think everyone else has mentioned most of my favorites. But not just to kiss up I do LOVE the force unleashed. *wink*

I hope you watch & enjoy my brickfilm series.  It's not technically the best, but if I did my job, you'll find them funny.
