The theme is "Impatience". The mod elements are Red, Blue, White, Green bricks connected to a red brick and the word "ducks." Now go and make a film!
But for those of you who are feeling a little less brazen…
Your entry must be entirely made and submitted during the 24 hour period. To prove this, the mod elements (detailed below) must appear in every frame of your animation. You can see how long there is left on the contest by clicking here.
Your entry must consist primarily of LEGO (or similar building-block toy) stop-motion animation. CGI, live-action or other forms of video may be used to supplement it, but the brickfilming must be the focus.
Your entry must consist of at least 30 seconds of stop-motion animation.
No mature/explicit content is allowed. This includes, but is not limited to: swearing, excessive violence and overt sexual content. The site is family-friendly and we ask that the contest entries are too.
You must not make your film public until the deadline has passed. This is to prevent stealing of ideas and to make the grand unveiling of all the entries more exciting!
Use of copyrighted material (including music) is allowed.
The theme for this year's contest is "A Mistaken Identity". Have you ever seen someone or something, and thought they were someone else? You may interpret this however you like, just stick to the rules!
The mod elements are a grey brick connected to a red brick and the letter T. To prove that you made your film within the time limit, at least one of the mod elements must appear in every frame of your animation.
The grey and red bricks can be any shade, light or dark (even translucent).
The letter may be upper or lower case, mirrored and/or rotated however you like.
Adding the mod elements digitally does not count, they must actually be in the scene.
Minifig parts (e.g. a red torso attached to grey legs) count towards the colour mod, but bricks connected to baseplates do not.
You do not need to include either mod in titles, credits, or any other parts of your film that are entirely digital.
You can get creative with how you implement the mods! For example, this head has two lower-case Rs on his face. His collar also looks like an W or an M… Any of these would be acceptable if the mod was these letters.
Send a link to where your film can be viewed to harry(at)zootproductions(dot)com before 12pm (midday) GMT on Wednesday, April 2nd 2014. Unless I am asleep, I will reply as soon as it arrives to confirm that your submission has been received, and add you to the list below.
