Okay, I dont understand Japanese, so this is what I got from it.
the girl is in the hospital and she isnt allowed to do something apparently, so then she commits Suicide. then her ghost rides with santa giving little children and people presents and cheer.
Happy Holidays!
I think the voices are a bit much, but the animation is good.
I'm impressed with this film's technical excellence. I loved the customization and effects. The sets were detailed and compelling. The story was coherent even without understanding Japanese. The excellent technicals invite the viewers to take the film seriously, which I do.
I'd love to get a version with English subtitles so I could read the text. But even without the text, the point is obvious. It looks like suicide: like happy, smiley, suicide. There are hard choices to be made in hospital rooms like that one. And while pulling the plug is not always murder or suicide, it can be and has been. But even in the cases when it is necessary to pull the plug, it's not fun. And it doesn't make anyone happy. It certainly does not make a merry Christmas.
That was the best Christmas Brickfilm I have ever seen. The story was so good, that I dide'nt even need to understand Japanese. But was this CGI or stop-motion? Happy Holidays-Peanut
I'm not really down with suicide, and have seen it's destructive, unhappy effects on loved ones, so I have to say I agree with Smeagol and Sam, the story was a bit meh. The lovely technical qualities did give it a nice feel, but happy and suicide don't seem to go together very well.
