Topic: Sorting Bricks

For all those of you that sort your bricks, how do you sort them? I have just started sorting mine and want to get ideas on how to catogorize them mini/smile

I sort the rare peices, minifigures, and accessories apart from the bricks. mini/smile

I sort mine by shape then color, and have rare pieces and minifigs separate.

Color for regular-ish bricks, some random stuff I haven't had time to sort, a bunch of little piles of characters for mabye-future-movies, and my minifig torsos in a small box, same with my legs, hair/helmets, heads, capes/armor, and weapons/utinsels.

Heads
Torsos
Legs
Ropes & Capes
Bulk Bricks
Flats
Hair
Hats & Helmets (with visors)
Other

I used to have my bricks sorted by color.
Now it's just separated from bricks to minifigures.

I use one of those things behind my laptop. You can find them at Homedepot or maybe Loe's or Target. I also have two other container things with three big drawers each for more space.

Nope mini/tongue I just have it all in various tubs and I spill it out all over the floor when I need something. That's something that's appealed to me ever since I got my first Lego sets - having a big pile of it and rummaging through it all for that one elusive piece.

Once I have enough space to actually properly sort it out I probably will.

oh. I used to do that, but it stopped when a minigigures face rubbed completely off.

I merely sort out the minifigs pieces in little plastic drawers. Other than that I'm with Sean.

I've decided that I'm going to become immune to several select, non-lethal poisons, then put them in my snacks to discourage sneaky snack snatchers. -Littlebrick

I can't sort mine because my brother has most of the bricks built into buildings and vehicles that don't even make sense...
