Topic: Big big big lego project

Hi everyone ! mini/wink

I'm a french 20 years old student in philosophy and cinema and I directed some films with real and lego actors (I must say, the lego ones are much easier than the live ones...).

I created with some friends a movie production association (Dynamite Canal Production), nothing fancy but this is a start. The goal of this association is to help student between 15 and 25 to create everything that touch cinema (films, music, animation...).

I recently had an idea mini/lol (it happens to me sometimes mini/sweat) involving lego animation. I want to create a copy of a movie, entirely in lego mini/dizzy .
The movie I want to copy is "Jurassic Park" mini/jaw. The second idea I had was : since I can't do it in four month, and that I don't have much time to devote on this project, why don't ask other lego animators to do some scenes ?
And that was the big idea : I'm looking all over the world mini/twitch for teenage lego animators who are interested in doing a scene from Jurassic Park with their own style (parody:yes: , other filmaker genre mini/love , realsitic mini/eh ...). If we're twenty on this, in four or six month, we have our film and it'll look fantastic mini/devil  or completly wobbly mini/troll , I don't care it's fun anyway !

I did last year a lego animation with Michael Jackson mini/sunnies mini/mrgreen  if you want to see what I can do with lego.

I already cut the movie into 25 sequences, and I'll post this if some of you are interested in the project. There's already 5 french brickfilmakers (including me) working on some sequences, I hope you'll join us !!

I'm waiting eaggerly for answers,
Have all a nice day,
Regards,

Not the nicest way to greet someone, Ludvig.

Welcome to BiM, Morgann! If you haven't already, be sure to check out the Beginner's Guide to BiM. Best of luck to you with your project.

Responding to a new member like that is like taking the welcome mat out from in front of your house.

Don't be fooled, my avatar is a facade of conformity.

Re: Big big big lego project

They'll track mud all over your living room?

Anyway, welcome, Morgann, and good luck! You'll need it with such an ambitious project. May I ask how the dinosaurs will be made? CGI, or actual stop-motion?

With all due respect Noodle, I don't want you here. - Ratboy Productions

Re: Big big big lego project

Hello everyone ! and thanks for those great welcoms !

Well, Noodle (I can call you noodle right ?) the dinosaurs will be as different as the filmakers, everybody choose what he wants. For the moment I know ther's someone who will make them threw computer (CGI I supose) and another person who will take some lego dinosaurs for stop-motion. Personnaly I took the first scene of Jurassic Park, when you just see the eye of the velociraptor, so I'll probably take some toy's'rus toy.

So, nobody are interested to join us in this adventure ?

{See, I tryed not to use smiley this time ! mini/rolleyes
Sorry I can't help myself mini/lol}

Cool ! I'll post tomorow the list of sequences that are available. For the moment 5 scenes have been chosen : the first two, the Nedry dialogue at the begining, the T-Rex attack scene and Nedry stealing the embryos. If you know well the movi don't hesitate to pick you're favorite scene before someone else does.

Re: Big big big lego project

I'll think about it, but I may join this project, who knows it might look good mini/lol

Re: Big big big lego project

I think that it will be a really hard project to do because you will need an enourmus amount of lego and a very big amount of CGI knowledge, after all how will you make the newborn dinosaur in the scientists hand? Well I hope everything goes well

I am Brick by Brick.  I was banned so I created a second account and pretended to be new.  So now this account is banned as well.

Re: Big big big lego project

I'll probably take part after I finish my Avant-Garde film, but I have one question: How are you going to keep the voices consistent? Do you want us to take the soundtrack from the movie and build off of that? Or are there designated voice actors for each character? mini/eh

Re: Big big big lego project

Well, there's a choice between two soundtracks : the one from the film obviously and a one you mak eup yourself. If you make yourself the soundtrackt it must be for a reason (you want to do the dinosaures screem by yourself, you want to change the dialogue, you want to make a parody...). The fact is that almost every scenes are treated by Spielberg like individual sequences, so if the voice or the "actors" change frome one scene to another, it's not that bad (and I'm really curious about the results). mini/smile

Also where would we get the audio? Would it be provided or would we have to get a hold of it ourselves?
