Topic: Around the World With Miniman

I was watching the following SuperBowl commercial...

...when it got me thinking. Why don't we do something like this? Where we post a photo of a Lego minifig in a different part of the world.
Just think. A minifig next to...The Empire State Building, Big Ben, Great Wall of China, etc.
It doesn't have to be iconic or a landmark though. A minifig looking out over the French countryside perhaps?
I would prefer it to be an actual photo and not a photoshop version. Plus it could be fun and inspiring.
And let's not forget to keep it clean, okay? mini/wink

Interesting...I'll get started on it as soon as I can lay hands on a camera (work/financial aid refund woes -_-; ).

Also, this might have the potential to be made into a slideshow type movie with music.

Yes, I think sigfigs would be best. Or just any one of your (favorite?) minifigs.
It would be next to impossible for everyone to use the exact same fig in all of the photos.

Cool idea, I know just the place.

For a minute I thought you meant a community project where we animate a minifig doing a little dance with a famous landmark either superimposed into the background, or recreated in Lego.

Something on the lines of Where the on earth is Matt or Scooters Jumping All Over World

But taking a photo of a minifig in front of something famous close to where you home town/city is - is an excellent idea.

OK, those weren't the best examples, I couldn't find the one I wanted, and those were the closest examples I found.

Would it make sense to Geotag the pictures and put them in Flicky or a Google Earth layer, so you could browse the planet for pictures?
